Gao Jun at the Volkswagen Open Singapore

Gao Jun (USA) is competing at the ITTF Pro Tour Volkswagen Open Singapore. The next match is Round of 16 against Zhang Yining (CHN). The two previously played in December 2005 at the Women’s World Cup in Guangzhou, China that resulted in the Zhang winning, 7-11, 5-11, 11-3, 11-3, 5-11, 11-8, 11-7.

Gao Jun is ranked #12 in the world and has achieved many titles. Some of the titles include the 2005 Pro Tour Grand Finals Doubles Champion, 1991 World Championships Doubles Champion, 8 time U.S. National Women Singles Champion, and 2003 Pan Am Games Women’s Singles & Doubles Champion. In addition, Gao was a member of the 2004 Olympic Team and is ranked #1 in U.S.
