Lausanne, November 24, 2009 - In its 15th season, the ITTF Pro Tour consists of 15 events plus the Pro Tour Grand Finals. The total prize money in 2010 is US dollar 2,441,800. The most remunerative events are the Grand Finals ($365,000) and the China Open in Suzhou ($330,000).

On four continents Pro Tour events will be held in 2010. In order to qualify for the Singles event of the Grand Finals, a player has to play at least six events or participate at Pro Tour events on three different continents. The top 15 men and women players of the points standings will be invited to the Grand Finals. The points at an event are allocated according to the prize money.

The Most Successful Players
Since the beginning of the ITTF Pro Tour in 1996, China's WANG Liqin has won 23 titles in the Men's Singles event so far but none on the 2009 Pro Tour. Compatriot MA Lin (21 titles) followed by Belarusian Vladimir SAMSONOV (19 titles) and Germany's Timo BOLL (17 titles).

The most successful player in 2009 was MA Long. The 21-year-old Chinese has added four new titles this year. With a total of nine Singles titles, he overtook his coach LIU Guoliang (6 titles) and leveled compatriot KONG Linghui (9 titles).

On the women's side, world number one Zhang Yining has collected no less than 33 titles in her unprecedented career. The 28 year old has also won four Pro Tour Grand Finals titles, one more than the most successful man WANG Liqin.
