Canada's top players are gearing up for the 2010 National Team Challenge. A mix of experienced players and ‘rising stars’ will fight to earn points towards National Team Selection for 2010’s major international competitions for the Canadian Senior Team.

Zhang Mo and Pradeeban Peter-Paul will be engaged in their professional league matches in Italy and Austria and will not compete in this weekend’s competition.

On the women’s side, the challenge to the established players will come from a number of fast improving youngsters from Ontario, Saskatchewan, Quebec and British Columbia.

The top two men – Pierre-Luc Hinse and Xavier Therien – will have to fend off juniors like Pierre-Luc Theriault (QC) and Andre Ho (BC), both are returning from international training in Europe and China respectively.

From the Quarter Finals (Saturday 17:30 – EST) onward, you can follow some key matches of the 2010 National Team Challenge through a link from CTTA's website.

The competition will take place at the Carrefour Multisports Laval 3095, Autoroute Laval, Chomedey, Laval, QC (near the intersection of autoroute 440 and autoroute 15).
