Never standing still, always seeking to make progress; if there is one aspect within the framework of the International Table Tennis Federation that has followed those principles and has developed rapidly in the present century, it is the ITTF Development Program itself.
Prior to the dawn of the Millennium there was just a handful of courses; now there is a plethora of well over one hundred per year covering the four corners of the global. A major effect has been the growth in the membership of the International Table Tennis Federation.
The ITTF Coach Accreditation System, established in 2004, has also experienced similar extensive growth. The next three months will see a period of intense activity.
There will be several ITTF Course Conductor Training courses including the introduction of ITTF Level 3.
Guiding Hands
Under the guidance of Glenn Tepper, the ITTF Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director-Development, with the support of Leandro Olvech and Polona Cehovin Susin, respective Deputy Executive Directors for Development and Education and Training, a highly concentrated Program is on the menu for the ITTF Coach Accreditation System for the remaining months of 2012 to prepare for the demands of the new quadrennial.
Kuala Lumpur
The first ever ITTF Level Three Course and ITTF Level Three Course Conductor Training for targeted ITTF Coaches will be held in the Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur from Friday to Sunday September 21st to 30th.

Philippe Molodzoff, the author of the ITTF Advanced Coaching Manual, will lead the ITTF Level Three Course with Glenn Tepper leading the ITTF Level Three Course Conductor Training. Polona Cehovin Susin will also be present as one of the coaches leading the introduction of ITTF Level Three worldwide.
European Women’s Course
Alongside the ITTF Level Three Course instruction a European Women’s ITTF/PTT Level One and ITTF/PTT Level One Course Conductor Training Program will take place from Monday to Sunday September 24th to 30th in Turkey.
One of the most active Course Conductors, Alejandra Gabaglio of Argentina will be leading the course with Leandro Olvech supporting her for the Course Conductor Training.
The aim is to increase the number of Women Course Conductors by targeting active elite women coaches and players.
India
A high degree of activity in Europe and it is also the situation in India.
“After several years of negotiation India will formally adopt the ITTF Coach Accreditation System”, explained Glenn Tepper. “This coach education project has been contracted out to “Tenvic” an Indian based company and will start with three back to back ITTF/PTT Level One courses led by Richard McAfee; he was instrumental in setting up the ITTF Coach Accreditation System in the United States in 2010.”
The confirmed dates are Wednesday to Sunday October 3rd to 7th in Ajmer, Wednesday to Sunday October 10th to 14th in Indore and Wednesday to Sunday October 17th to 21st in Bangalore.
United States of America
Following proceedings in India, the focus turns to the United States for an ITTF Level Two Course and ITTF Level Two Course Conductor Training.
It is the second stage of the United States adopting the ITTF Coach Accreditation system; matters will be organized between Thursday September 30th and Tuesday October 6th.
The first ITTF/PTT Level One Course and ITTF/PTT Level One Course Conductor Training was completed in 2010 by Glenn Tepper. Philippe Molodzoff will lead the ITTF Level Two Course with Polona Cehovin Susin guiding the ITTF Level Two Course Conductor Training.
Singapore
Eyes concentrated on the United States, as the year comes to a close, the attention will focus on Singapore.
“Singapore is taking the first steps to adopting the ITTF Coach Accreditation System with an ITTF/PTT Level One Course and ITTF/PTT Level One Course Conductor Training being held”, explained Glenn Tepper. “Again, this will be led by Richard McAfee.”
The planned dates are Monday December 3rd to Friday December 14th.
Prosperous New Year
Unquestionably it is an intense Program but one effect is certain for the sport of table tennis as we look ahead to 2013.
A prosperous New Year for the ITTF Coach Accreditation System and the newly trained ITTF Course Conductors.
