Indian Travels Reach Silicon Valley, Appropriate Conclusion for Three Week Itinerary

The Silicon Valley of India, the center of the country’s information technology business and the capital of the state of Karnataka; the city of Bangalore brought the trilogy of ITTF/PTT Level One Courses, conducted in the country in the space of three weeks, to a close.

Organized under the auspices of the ITTF Development Program and in liaison with the Table Tennis Federation of India; the three courses were conducted by Richard McAfee, the Chair of the United States Table Tennis National Coaching Advisory Committee.

Ajmer saw the start of what proved to be a well organized and administered itinerary; matters commenced on Wednesday October 3rd and terminating on Sunday October 7th.

Next on the schedule was Indore from Wednesday to Sunday October 10th to 14th with the third and concluding course in Bangalore, being staged from Wednesday to Sunday October 17 to 21, 2012.

Excellent Attendance
Home for the course in Bangalore was the Innsfree House School with 27 coaches attending; thus making the grand total for the three week itinerary 62 coaches in total.

Extensive Media Coverage
An impressive number and just as in Ajmer and Indore, the level of interest was high.

Not only from the course members; there was also extensive media coverage.

“The concept of offering training for coaches drew great interest”, enthused Richard McAfee.

The Tenvic Company
Furthermore, Bangalore was a most appropriate final stop on the tour as Richard McAfee highlighted.

“One of the Information Technology Companies headquartered in Bangalore is Tenvic a sports development company”, he explained. “Along with the Table Tennis Federation of India and the International Table Tennis Federation they are spearheading a new nationwide program of coaches development.”

First Courses
It is an exciting project and most certainly the efforts have been well received.

“They were the first ITTF Coaches Education Courses to be held in India and their success was an historic start to Tenvic’s program”, added Richard McAfee. “With the great response from coaches around India to the program many more courses are being planned for the near future.”

Increase Base Important
More courses for the future can only strengthen the base from which progress can be made; a fact of which the Information Technology Company is well aware.

“Tenvic believes the way to improve the level of table tennis in India is to improve the level of the local coaches who are the real “backbone” of the sport”, concluded Richard McAfee.

Laid Foundations
Unquestionably, the project is laying firm foundations for growth; foundations from which table tennis will surely grow, surely flourish.
