Teddy Tran (USA) had an up and down tournament at the ITTF Guatemala Junior & Cadet Open this past weekend. Despite being sick, he fought hard to upset the top seed and advance to the main draw in Cadet Boys Singles and Team events. Teddy reached the Cadet Boys Team Semifinals with partner Aarsh Shah (USA) where they lost to India, and he advanced to the Cadet Boys Singles Round of 16 before the sickness forced him to withdraw.
