Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Question: I’m pretty much an above average table tennis player. I use all parts of the table and most would term me as a tactical player than a smasher. I do smash the ball very often but I like to have a bit of control in my game as well. How ever I haven’t been playing with a professional racket yet. So I need advice on which one to buy and which rubbers to go along with it. My budget is pretty decent $220 at most $250.

Answer: Hi Kais,

Thank you for your interest in Butterfly! Since you will be buying your first professional racket, I will recommend a racket that has good speed but maintaining decent control. For the blade, I would highly recommend you to either try the Timo Boll ALC or the Viscaria. Both have carbon and that will make it lightweight. As for the rubbers, there are a couple of rubbers for you to consider. The Bryce Speed is a good rubber if you like to smash, and if you’d like to try the Tenergy series, you should try the Tenergy 64 or Tenergy 80. I believe these rubbers along with your blade will be a good combination for your style.

Good luck with your new racket and happy playing!
