Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Question:

What Butterfly Blades and Rubbers are suited for my age and playing style?

I am 31yrs old, just 157cm tall.

I am a two-wing looper but I am not that strong anymore like the old days.

I can hit hard with my forehand but I easily get exhausted so I prefer not hitting hard now on my forehand.

I like generating spin a lot. Slow loop and loop drives is my main weapon during matches. Sometimes I do fast loops but again i get exhausted easily.

I am fascinated and copying the styles of Lin Yun-Ju and Timo Boll.

I trained 5 days a week.

What Blade & Rubber Combinations can suit my playing style?

Your Ask the Experts question was answered by Jishan Liang. Coach Liang is the head coach at NC International Table Tennis Inc. in North Carolina. Coach Liang’s response is as follows:

Hi Primo Angelo,

I saw your current information which will help me recommend you a blade and rubbers.

I recommend the Revoldia CNF blade. This blade is really good for control and creating spin. It is also not too fast, but has enough power.

I also recommend you try the new Dignics 09C for both sides. This rubber is the new and is good for making spin and also has power as well.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I am happy to help you!
