Before the Year Ends: National & International Results of Catalina Ramírez

As we approach the end of the year, it is a perfect time to reflect on the outstanding achievements of young Chilean athlete, Catalina Ramírez. This year, Catalina has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of table tennis, both on the national and international stages.

This past weeks, the Centro de Entrenamiento Olímpico in Chile hosted a historic day at the 2024 Campeonato Nacional Juvenil – Infantil, where the nation’s brightest young talents showcased their skills. In the Infantil category, Catalina Ramírez (Team Santiago) took center stage, claiming the championship in the women’s competition after a dominant performance. She defeated Francisca Paredes in the final to secure the gold.

🥉 Ignacia Jiménez (Angelina)

Catalina’s victory in this prestigious tournament solidifies her status as the current number 1 player in Chile’s under-15 category, a remarkable achievement for such a young athlete.

The tournament has left a mark on Chile’s table tennis scene, and the future looks incredibly promising for the young champions like Catalina who are emerging as the next generation of talent in the sport.

In addition to her national success, Catalina also represented Chile on the international stage in December at the South American Under-14 Championships held in Colombia from December 3 to 8. Organized by CONSUDE (South American Sports Council), this event gathered top young players from across the continent, and Catalina delivered impressive results.
