We are inviting you today to consider helping Coach Dan Seemiller prepare for the 2020 Olympic Table Tennis Trials.

Dan was and is a pioneer in the sport of table tennis in the US.  He is a five time US National Singles Champion, twelve time doubles champion, and coached the US Men’s Olympic table tennis team in 2000 and 2004.  But perhaps his greatest accomplishments was what he gave back to the sport and to our community.

23 years ago Dan started coaching and mentoring at the South Bend Table Tennis Club.   His juniors program has netted 5 athletes who went on to play on the US Nationals team.  We’ve been truly fortunate to have a coach with his skill level, passion for the game, and desire to train players of all skill levels and ages.

Dan spent his entire career giving everything he had to his students.  This may be our last big opportunity to give something back to him.

Dan was reluctant to agree to this campaign, but would love to make one last run for the US Olympic team.  He still has the fight in him to take the next steps to qualify for the Olympics, but understands that it would take a significant investment to do so.  Dan plans on playing 2 tournaments per month to help prepare him for the qualifying event and the costs associated with travel, lodging, and entry fees will be significant.    If we can help clear the financial hurdle, he can focus on preparing to make a run for the last remaining spot on the team by winning the qualifying event held in March 2020.
