The Tischtennis Bundesliga (TTBL) season is coming to a close. The final four teams compete in a best 2 of 3 series in a home/away/home format (with the higher seed having the advantage of hosting two matches). The four teams that have made the Finals are Dusseldorf, Saarbrucken, Ochsenhausen, and Grunwettersbach.
The first playoff match occurred Sunday as Borussia Dusseldorf dominated the fourth-seeded ASV Grunwettersbach. Boll defeated Xang Xi 3-0, Kallberg defeated Dang Qiu 3-2, and Karlsson defeated Kozul 3-2. Dusseldorf will play the second match next Saturday in Grunwettersbach – and if a third match is needed, it would be played on April 11th.
The other playoff match will be between Ochsenhausen and Saarbrucken. The first match is set for April 8.
