Guess Who’s Back ??

Having made headlines a few weeks ago with his tour through Germany which included an announcement that he would be joining the German League this Fall, an energized Fan Zhendong has started his 2025 China Super League schedule with seven straight wins.

Fan Zhendong is playing for Shanghai Real Estate Group and his team includes another retired player, Xu Xin, as well as Zhou Kai and Zhao Zihao.  The team is 5-2 with wins over Shandong, Nanchang, Sichuan, Tianjin, and Hebei but with losses against Shenzhen Bao’an and Anhui Wuhu.

Fan’s wins have included Lin Shidong (3-2), Wang Chuqin (3-1), Ma Long (3-2), Zhou Qihao (3-2), and Xue Fei, Huang Youzheng, and Xu Haidong.  That list includes incredibly strong players and the top two players in the current World Rankings.  Fan Zhendong is back.
