ITTF COVID-19 Donations: #TableTennisUnited Campaign

Posted on

(by Steve Hopkins)

With the table tennis community suffering across the whole world, the ITTF Foundation has launched an initiative they are calling the Table Tennis United Donation Campaign.  The goal is to support athletes, coaches, umpires, associations, and field projects that need help as they emerge from the COVID-19 crisis.

The Donation Campaign is powered by the ITTF Foundation and supported by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and World Table Tennis (WTT), the new commercial and events vehicle of the ITTF, who together have committed to donate more than USD 250,000 to the cause.

As noted in the full ITTF article here, the project has already begun with ITTF Foundation reallocated funds towards field projects, bringing food hygiene kits, information, and educational materials to Ghana, India, Kenya, and Uganada.

The ITTF is seeking donations from players so that each table tennis supporter can play a part in building a stronger future for the sport across the globe.
