PongMobile Cup 2019 Results and Highlights Video

Posted on

We thank everyone who participated in the 2019 PongMobile Cup. We’re happy to announce that it was a success. The battles were fierce, as 14 teams played 7 rounds of matches. Last game decided the winner, epic! We hope you were there in person and enjoyed the experience. If not, we look forward to seeing you at the next PongMobile event.   The complete match results are available to cup.pongmobile.com.   We’ll see you at the next event!

As the first tournament for PongMobile, the primary goal was to plan and execute an event that was player experience-centric and deliver a new and lasting tournament experience. The reoccurring comment from mostly all participants was “this is the best tournament I have played in.”

We believe the following series of factors attributed to this success:

  • An outstanding team
  • Good preparation
  • Tournament completely ran with technology
  • Seamless interaction with players with proprietary tournament software
  • Allotted lunchtime within the schedule -with lunches that worked
  • A modified Swiss format -made competition much more interesting
  • Personalized tournament shirts (for each player)
  • Raffle system throughout the event (with useful giveaways)
  • A well organized the tournament
  • Streamed video allowed for later re-watching
  • PA system for delivering instructions
