Question: Which rubber do you suggest to behave like Tenergy 64 but with much less power and higher control?

(by: Bowmar Sports Team)

Question:

Dear Coach,

I used to play with Timo Boll ZLC & Tenergy 64 on both sides. I felt happy with it except that some of my high loops went out of the table.

My question is which rubber do you suggest to behave like Tenergy 64 (I mean to strike in a linear direction) but with much less power and higher control (Tenergy 64 FX didn’t work as well) since I use high hand power in my strokes?

It worth to mention that I only want to have more fun with playing (I’m 40) and not to improve my playing style.

Thanks a lot.

Best wishes,

Pezhman

Answer:

Hi Pezhman,

I think you are looking for a harder rubber that has control. Dignics 09C is a good option.

The reason why Dignics 09C has more control is because it generates more spin, meaning your loops will have power generated from spin.

It also depends on the blade as well, not just the rubber. Timo Boll ZLC is known to be a faster blade.

You can try out blades that have more control such as Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC and Harimoto Innerforce ALC blade.

Best regards,

Coach Jinxin
