WAB CLUB FEATURE: Denver Table Tennis Alliance

(by Steve Hopkins)

With its location on Curtis Street, just North of Denver’s city center, Denver Table Tennis Alliance has easy access to the greater metropolitan area.  The club features 8 butterfly tables, barriers, great lighting, and
rubber Gerflor-Taraflex flooring (wood color).  At DTTA, a quality facility is combined with a friendly atmosphere to provide a great place where table tennis knowledge and experience are freely shared and available to all. With each of these characteristics, the Denver Table Tennis Alliance are proud to say their Club has been a leader since the beginning. The Director is Angelo Gandullia who has many years of experience as a coach.  He knows how important it is to have the best facility and equipment possible. It takes real effort to remain in the best form and to stay competitive. Angelo continue to play, so students at Denver Table Tennis Alliance can learn and practice with a coach who participates, trains, and drills with them. In past years, Denver Table Tennis Alliance has explored options to work with schools in the Denver area.  This grass roots development is the main path to keeping the sport alive and strong.  One continuing goal is to ensure that new generations of players join this wonderful Olympic sport. With a constantly increasing number of Club Members, students, and regular visitors, the Denver Table Tennis Alliance is optimistic that the Club will remain a leader.  As Director Gandullia says – the goal when the club was started continues to be the goal today:  Not to be the biggest, just the BEST Table Tennis Club in Colorado! The club is open six days per week with hours of operation from 6p-10p Sunday-Friday, and Saturday hours of noon to 5p.  *The club is closed on Tuesdays.
