Nandan Naresh and Daniel Tran are the 2024 US Nationals Men’s Doubles Champions after logging a 3-1 win over Darryl Tsao and Victor Xie.  Amy Wang won a pair of doubles titles today, teaming up with Rachel Sung to win Women’s Doubles and teaming with Andrew Cao to win Mixed Doubles.

In the Men’s Doubles event, the Naresh/Tran team were seeded second entering the tournament.  Each of the top four seeds reached the Semifinals with top seeded Jinxin Wang/Xiang Jing Zhang facing off against fourth seeds Darryl Tsao/Victor Xie, and with third seeded Shesh/Cao facing off against Naresh/Tran.  Tsao and Xie pulled off a 3-1 upset to reach the Final as Naresh/Tran were pushed to the fifth game before securing the 3-2 win to punch their Finals ticket.  Naresh/Tran then logged a dominant performance in the Final to win the title.

In Women’s Doubles, Amy Wang and Rachel Sung entered as the top seed, and they pushed through the draw without losing a game.  The 3-0 Finals win was over Tiffany Ke and Jessica Reyes-Lai.

In Mixed Doubles, Amy Wang and Andrew Cao entered as the top seed, and aside from dropping one game in their Quarterfinals match, they were dominant.  In fact, after winning the first two games 11-4 over Sid Naresh and Tiffany Ke in the Final, they were on the verge of an easy title – but Naresh/Ke mounted a comeback.  The third game went to Naresh/Ke 11-2, and after the pair pulled out a tight 11-8 win in the fourth, the score was tied.  But Wang/Cao pulled ahead early in the fifth game to secure their win.  Amy Wang wins her second doubles title of the day – and Andrew Cao joins her as Mixed Doubles champion.

There are many other doubles events tiered by age that have already completed.  For full results, see the links below.  Some of the winners include Darryl Tsao/Daniel Tran who won Boys U19 Doubles, Isabella Xu/Hannah Song who won Girls U19 Doubles, Derek May/Virginia Sung who won 40 & Over Mixed Doubles, Jimmy Butler/Derek May who won 50 & Over Men’s Doubles, James Therriault/Jian Zhuang who won 60 & Over Men’s Doubles, Yan Ge/ Patty Martinez-Wasserman who won 60 & Over Women’s Doubles, and Jian Zhuang / Patty Martinez-Wasserman who won 60 & Over Mixed Doubles.
