Lily Zhang Logs First Round Win in Singapore

In early action at the Singapore Smash, three Americans played today. Lily Zhang logged a 3-0 win over Ser Lin Qian of Singapore to advance. She’ll next face Taipei’s Lee Eunhye in the Round of 32.

The other TeamUSA ladies were less fortunate. Amy Wang fell to Puerto Rico’s Adriana Diaz 3-0, and Sally Moyland (who already won three qualifying matches just to reach the main draw), lost a tight 3-2 match against Taipei’s Chien Tung-Chuan.

Our other remaining USA player is Kanak Jha. He plays Vitor Ishy of Brazil tomorrow.

Lots of action on tap this week with Finals scheduled for next weekend.
