Despite top Romanian players (three in the World Youth Top 10), it was an 18 year old Chinese player who turned heads.  Zeng Beixun, World No. 193, dominated the draw.  In fact, outside of a tight 3-2 Quarterfinal, Zeng was 15-1 in games over his other five wins – including a 3-0 win in the Final.

The U17 Boys went to Darius Movileanu of Romania, The U15 title went to Kazakhstan’s Alan Kurmangaliyev, U13 went to Japan’s Shunto Iwaida, and U11 went to Czech Republic’s Oliver Olejnik.  With players, from China and Japan in addition to top juniors from Europe, this was a competitive field.

The Girls events start tomorrow, and include 11 girls in the the World Youth Top 50.  Check in for updates throughout the event.
