Major League Table Tennis (MLTT) continues to grow, and the Atlanta Blazers are one of the newest expansion teams. From the Hawks to the Falcons to the Braves – Atlanta is a great sports town. And now the ATL is on path to become a contender in professional table tennis. The Blazers join MLTT’s East Division alongside franchises Florida Crocs, New York Slice, Princeton Revolution, and defending champions Carolina Gold Rush.
The Blazers’ coach is Suzi Battison, a seasoned competitor with experience playing in Chinese leagues. She’ll be leading an international lineup:
- Jiwei Xia (China)
- Jeet Chandra (India)
- Tom Feng (USA)
- Yuya Oshima (Japan)
- Kayama Yu (Japan)
- Andrea Todorovic (Serbia)
- Ping Cheng Chang (Taiwan)
- Minhyung Jee (Australia)
The Atlanta Blazers will see their first action in September. They debut as MLTT begins its third season. MLTT has a new TV deal with CBS sports, so this is the perfect time to launch a new professional team.
