The Chicago Wind plan to blow over competition in the upcoming Major League Table Tennis (MLTT) season. The Wind made the playoffs in their second season and they hope to build on that success later this year.
The team is led by coach Eric Owens, a former US champion. The team has USA’s Daniel Tran and Sean Zhang, Mo Zhang of Canada, Robert Gardos of Austria, Jeongwoo Park of South Korea, Alex Cazacu of Romania and two Frenchmen – Damien Provost and Manu Lebesson.
The West Division features fierce competition from the Bay Area Blasters, the Los Angeles Spinners, Texas Smash, and the Portland Paddlers. With a great fan base in the Chicago Area and the league’s profile growing, including a new contract with CBS Sports, the 2025 season promises to be the most exciting yet.
