Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer
Question:
Hi
My name is Jose and I’m an intermediate player. I have used 2 blades in total while playing table tennis, first an all wood and then the Timo Boll ALC, both in chinese penhold. I liked the feeling I got when using an all wood since a felt more how the ball digs in the blade but when I change to the ALC it was a lot faster but it didn’t have the same feeling. So I have serveral questions regarding which balde to purchase now, I’m looking for the blade that can have the most feeling but still be able to loop mid distance of the table since that is my playing style, on both sides. I usually go for the hard rubber on my FH and BH and I want to try the tenergy 05 Hard in my FH and BH with this new blade. I did some research and I’m between the Inner Force Layer ALC.S and the Timo Boll ZLF. Since they both seem to have the better feeling with the racket without compromising so much looping mid to close distance from the table, but i don’t want to rely on the blade for the speed, I want to generate it myself. So I’m looking for the best blade to have the closest feeling on the ball as a wood one but that helps with distance looping and make as much spin as possible.

Hi Jose,
First of all thank you for choosing Butterfly.
As for your inquiry, I would suggest the Innerforce Layer ALC.S. It has very good control (you can feel the ball more) but does not compromise the spin when you are at mid-distances. I hope this help and good luck with your game.
Thank you,
