US Open Table Tennis Championships: Fort Worth

The US Open is slated for Fort Worth, Texas.  It will be held December 17-21.  There are pricing options per event or a flat fee option that allows for up to 7 entries for one cost.  There are a 84 events including championship Singles events in Men’s and Women’s, Junior Boys and Girls, Cadet Boys and Girls, Mini-Cadet Boys and Girls, and Hopes Boys and Girls.  There are also doubles events for Men/Women/Mixed in each of those categories as well.  There are 8 age events for men’s singles and 8 for women as well (16 events).  There are six age doubles events, and both boys and girls team events for Junior, Cadet, and Hopes levels.  There are 20 rating events, with most separate adults and juniors into different events.  There are 8 para events.  And there are 4 classic events including Hardbat singles/doubles, Sandpaper, and Liha.  With all of these options, there is something for everyone.

Rating eligibility will be based upon ratings as of October 17, though seeding will be based upon ratings as of November 29.  This year, the finals will be held onsite and will be free for players and coaches.  Access to the Players’ Lounge is available for $100 for the week, and a VIP package is available as well.

There is still time to sign up.  The Early Bird Deadline is October 25, and the Final Deadline is November 15.  If you have not yet registered, its time to start planning your visit to Fort Worth this winter.
